Membership Criteria
GCCA Concierge Definition
For membership purposes, the term "concierge" shall refer to an employee in a property having a transient clientele, with the title "Concierge", or an employee performing the duties of a professional concierge, including, but not limited to, managing dining reservations, organizing tours and transportation arrangements, and procuring guest amenities.
Eligibility
Based on job function, without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual or gender orientation, age, or national origin.
Approval
Prospective members must attend one meeting and meet the board members present. Membership in the Association is gained through the approval of the board of officers, and must be renewed on a yearly basis. A completed membership packet is required for membership approval.
Renewal
Membership shall be renewed on an annual basis, provided all membership requirements continue to be met.
Membership Categories
Regular Membership
May be granted, at the discretion of the board of officers, to individuals who perform the duties of a professional concierge, according to the above criteria.
Professional Affiliate Membership
May be granted, at the discretion of the board of officers, to those individuals employed by an organization which has a direct, non-commercial, not-for-profit relationship to the services that concierges offer to guests.
Honorary Membership
May be granted to individuals who provide extraordinary and/or meritorious service to the Association. The duration of such membership shall be subject to the approval and review of the board of officers.
